Ok just so you know this is a free league, and auto draft was used. I got the short end of the stick at WR. How do I fix this?

Here is my roster

Tony Romo

Roddy White

Joey Galloway

Clinton Portis

Reggie Bush

Todd Heap

D.J. Hackett

Amad Bradshaw

Alex Smith

Steve Smith (NY)

Ernest Wilford

Robert Royal

Stephen Gostkowski

Houston

Philly

I was considering trading Romo for a WR, and serviceable QB. What would be equal compensation? Any other Ideas?

Depends on the scoring and how many starters you need.   We can give you some ideas once you give us that info.

OK, so I would hold tight with Romo - not a bad idea to try and trade him for WR help, but it might be going from the frying pan into the fire.  I don't see any backups even close to starter status, so I'd keep Romo.  Not being PPR, wideouts are not quite as important - White and Galloway should be decent, but you could certainly use another flex player other than Hackett.  Tough one - maybe look for some WR heavy teams and see what needs they have.

Also, can you pick up and waiver wire players yet?  If so, anyone noteworthy?

Thanks for your help X,

All undrafted players are subject to waiver rules. I'm #3 on waiver list.

Avalible WR's/TE:

Brandon Jones

Michael Clayton

Troy Williamson

Chad Jackson

James Hardy

Dustin Keller

An owner in this league has Eli, S. Holmes, C. Johnson, and M. Turner on trading block. Do you see any combination of these players worth trading Romo for?

I would hold onto Romo man.  I am in the exact situation as you with Romo in one league and Smith as his back up.  You need to just hold onto Romo and go after WR via free agency and get lucky.  Your WR are actually not that bad.  R White is going to be a stud.  I really like Calvin Johnson if that is who the C Johnson is?

As far as free agents James Hardy aka Thug Life could be a really nice addition for you.  If he can stay out of trouble and that is a big if he could be really big for the future.  He could be the compliment Evans has been needing and he is a beast near goal line.

Troy Williamson is also lighting it up at camp in Jax.  He is a practice player usually, but I for some reason think he might translate in Jax.  He had the site problem and got that fixed and worked with eye specialist at Nike.  I don't know how many Minn games you got to see, but he has never had a problem getting open just drops.  He could dominate if he fixes whatever it is that makes him not play well in games.

I'm a big VT fan, but I think I would drop Royal for Thug Life.  Royal is going to be nice WR, but might take a year or two.  Thug Life could be something special early.  I would try him out and see if he can stay out of trouble.

Yes, Calvin Johnson

I'm not too worried about R. White it's Galloway that scares me, age has to catch up sooner or later.

I would take a flier on Chad Jackson.  He's battling Gaffney as NE's #3 and should win that position.  With Welker hurt and the Pats throwing, he could surprise.

I was going to post this yesterday and forgot. Rumors of NE dropping Jackson. Just a heads up. I don’t think they will, but I guess considering it. I think Gafney has that locked down.

edit: I don’t truely believe this, but did see it somewhere.
