AJ, if he is healthy, is good enough to post the best WR’s stats in the NFL IMO. Great value there.

List is a bit too big for now…Turner, Romo and Fitz catch my eye but from experience I know that’ll change with about two picks to go ;)

GREAT VALUE: tom brady at 18….although i expect a decline from his madden like numbers and im not a draft a qb early guy id be very happyp to land him at 18

HORRIBLE VALUE: willie parker at 12….missed the nfl draft did we?

THE I WOULD OF RATHER TAKEN:  colston or fitz over TJ…thats just me though

thanks for post smitty im all about these “expert” drafts as reading material…and its NEVER too early…

Very nice first pick at #5! Hopefully Andre Johnson comes back 100%, he’s a stud when healthy. Not sure I’d take Ocho Cinco over Fitz, Burress, Holmes, Marshall, and even Welker at this point. It’s looking ugly down in Cincy with his attitude. He keeps it up might see Marv Lewis bench and fine him for “conduct detrimental to the team”. Hopefully he keeps his trap shut and plays ball. Seems like a rift has formed among the team-mates though.

Oh, and just to piggyback on my comment, did I miss a Randy Moss pick somewhere? Noticed you don’t have him on your radar anywhere. Understand it’s a PPR league, but TD’s are sweet!

Just to let you know I read today that the Bengals want CJ to have arthoscopic surgery on his ankle before camp starts. Apparently he has been a bit gimpy at practice and is having some problems with it.

everything going according to plan so far, great guys slipping to you in the 1st and the 2nd. Wish you had a higher pick in the 4th cause I’ll bet Turner makes it to the start of the 4th. There is still a TON of RB talent on the board so not necessary to lock in on a RB2 yet. Know you love Turner but if Steve Smith is there in another 3 picks it will be hell to pass on him. Take a look at his first 2 games last year before Delhomme went down to get an idea of what he does in a PPR league. People talk about AJ being able to lead the league at WR if healthy….the same is absolutely true for Smith if him and Delhomme are healthy (don’t forget Caroline beefed up the O-Line this offseason).

Again, not sure how he’ll make it 3 more picks but you may want to start thinking WR and catching a very nice RB2 on the return in the 4th.

Yep, that's what I keep telling people. Smith is a monster. Still, Turner is my first choice, Smith is the second. Chad next.

2.10 22. FootballHangout.com Colston, Marques NOS WR Sat Jun 14 9:14:22 a.m. ET 2008 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List
2.11 23. AllSortsSports.com Manning, Peyton IND QB Sat Jun 14 12:11:19 p.m. ET 2008
2.12 24. Junk Yard Jake McFadden, Darren OAK RB Sat Jun 14 2:07:44 p.m. ET 2008 This is a risky pick, because there are probably 5 other RBs that should be picked before McFadden. I figure he is worth the gamble. The Raiders line is not all that talented, but the Raiders were able to finish 6th in the league anyway, even with marginal players like Jason Fargas. Plus McFadden adds a receiving dimension that most other RBs don't have.
3.01 25. Junk Yard Jake Fitzgerald, Larry ARI WR Sat Jun 14 2:07:53 p.m. ET 2008
3.02 26. AllSortsSports.com Johnson, Chad CIN WR Sat Jun 14 11:12:45 p.m. ET 2008 Risky, sure. But too much upside to ignore.
3.03 27. FootballHangout.com Lewis, Jamal CLE RB Sat Jun 14 11:12:45 p.m. ET 2008 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List
3.04 28. insidethestats.com Brown, Ronnie MIA RB Sat Jun 14 11:12:45 p.m. ET 2008 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List
3.05 29. FantasyFootballXtreme.com Turner, Michael ATL RB Sat Jun 14 11:28:24 p.m. ET 2008 This guy is one of our top breakout players for 2008 and he has top 10 running back upside right out of the gate… 3.05 is great value for a guy with such a high ceiling.

know you’re high on the guy so can’t fault the pick…but look at the numbers at the end of this year and you’ll see Smith will have outscored him by a solid margin. Oh well, not the end of the world. Perswonally I always go for solid proven talent over “gut feelings” for my first 3 rounds. I want to be 100% sure I’m getting producing studs in those 3 spots
