I feel I got a pretty good team & pretty deep in talent/value at QB/RB/WR spots - can ya help me out here? So far my starters are:
QB: Warner (over Anderson/Rivers)
RB: Barber
RB: Turner
WR: Colston
WR: Cal. Johnson
Flex: ???? (see below)
TE: Winslow
PK: Nugent (long story)
DEF: ????? (see below)
My flex = LJ? Young? Kev Smith? Coles? Evans? Crayton? I’m leaning towards Young - you?
My Def = Chic (vs Indy) or Jax (vs Tenn) ? I’m leaning towards JAX - you?
BTW - we do get a 1/2 point per reception

LJ at flex, he will get tons of carries, so even with a poor ypc, he will still get ~100 yards and a TD
Jax at def, Tenn won't do very much this game
nice team, btw

LJ & Jax seem like easy choices.

LJ would be my choice at flex… and I agree with the choice of Jax.

I like the LJ pick at Flex, but I disagree about Def.
Chances are that you picked up CHI defense because you wanted to see Hester run back kick after kick, for six after six. Well what better opportunity than against a team that will have to kick-off to him about 6-8 times.
I say go with Hester and the Bears, and hope for him to tie Mitchell's TD record in the first game of 2008.

Well, I did some diggin & it’s closer than I thought:
a). Oakland allowed a league-high 1.38 rushing touchdowns along with 135.1 rushing yards per game to the position last year.
b). The Patriots allowed per-game averages of 89.1 rushing yards and five receptions but just 0.56 total touchdowns to opposing backs last season, putting them in the top third among rushing defenses.
Its between LJ & Young in my book - if it weren’t for Denver’s “Shannygins” (playing duck-duck-goose) at the RB position, I’d start Young for sure. I just don’t know….but everyone else seems so sure on LJ. Even with NE’s DEF & there’s no doubt KC will be playing catch-up (passing)?

Never forget one of the golden rules of Fantasy Football. Always play your studs regardless of match-up. I follow that rule. But I play match-up for marginal players.
And are you sure the Pats D will be dominant this year? They might. But with their linebackers being quite old, the loss of a star CB, maybe they will turn sour real fast? For now, LJ looks to me like a no brainer. i might be wrong but that is Fantasy football. :) We will know next Tuesday!
