Ok, my team looks a little better after this weekend’s games. Now I am looking to upgrade. Going for Romo, AP, or both. We start QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, TE, K, D. 6 pts per TD, no PPR, standard for the rest.

My roster:
Hasselbeck, Warner
Addai, LJ, Turner, Forte, C Taylor, Ricky Williams
Colston, Jennings, Evans, Ginn, V Jackson
Witten

Team Romo:
Romo, Rivers
MJD, Reggie Bush, Edge, Slaton, M Morris
Cotchery, Crayton, S Smith, K Curtis, Burleson
D Clark

Team AP:
McNabb, Jeff Garcia
AP, McGahee, Mendenhall, J Stewart, L Jordan
B Edwards, Housh, Bowe, Randle-el
H Miller

So, I know I need an upgrade at WR more than at RB/QB, but I think I can use my RB depth as trade bait to get either Romo (who I think will end the year #1 QB) or AP (my #1 RB). If not, I will use my RBs to go after a top WR.

What trades for Romo and/or AP would you propose if you were me?

I’d go easy on the exuberance this early in the season. ;)

Maybe a Hasselbeck and Forte for Romo and Edge.

AP is more likey to cost a minimum of Turner and Forte (going off yesterdays games) but more likely Addai and Turner, which I would not do.

You can try the Romo trade as that won’t hurt your depth. Going after AP could end up gutting your team if the other owner has anything on the ball.

what about AP and J Stewart for LJ and Forte. Would you do that? That would give me the upgrade from LJ to AP, and still the upside of Stewart. I don’t know if he would go for it, but I can try…

Also, I know he really likes Romo, so he might not go for Hass and Forte for Romo and Edge. Would you trade Hass, LJ, Forte for Romo, MJD (or Bush), Edge? Just an option of what might work. Or what about a way to get Romo and Steve Smith? Thoughts?

I would not trade AP or Romo or Smith. I don’t think you have the depth to make it happen.

LJ and Forte would not even get you a reply if I had AP, much less AP and Stewart.

I’d go with the options you feel would work. These are trades that will require some negotiation. You need to know if they are willing to move these players first.
