Try and buy super low on Braylon?

Like many people, a dude in my league has had about all he can take with Braylon, especially given his 1 catch for 15 yard performance last night and posted a message saying “who wants Edwards”.  I guess it's tough to gauge how Edwards will perform with Quinn under center as he checked down to RB's and hooked up with Winslow hard but do you see any value there?  See a turn around?   Is Quinn, “captain checkdown” gonna be able to get him the ball?

I was going to offer V Jax for him but will that even be buying super low given that VJax has been real consistent.  What do y'all think.

Ya know, I thought I was being crafty offering Bernard Berrian for Edwards a few weeks back, after Berrian had a couple solid games.  Little surprise, my offer was turned down.  Last night, I was messaged by that owner wanting to know if I still wanted to make that trade.  Now, Berrian is my 4/5 WR.  I can roll without him, and one might make the argument that taking a chance on Braylon is worth it because I have 3 other solid wideouts.  But, I'm not taking the offer.  Know why?  Because you can't count on the guy to get you a “baseline” (60-80 yards) score even on one of the highest scoring games of the year.  I have no doubt that Braylon will put up another monster before the end of the season.  But, I can't see myself using such a risky, hit-or-miss receiver - especially as the weather worsens and the schedule gets tougher.  Edwards put up the bulk of his points early last year (I know, I traded for him week 6).

Unless you are a struggling team that needs a hailmary to win a playoff game, I pass on Edwards.

He's this year's ”Chad Johnson”.  And what's more disturbing is that Chad Johnson wishes he was this year's “Chad Johnson”. Wink

In a re-draft Braylon is not an option at the moment unless your team is 8-1 and you can afford to grab him and sit him on the bench.

That I might be able to do.  I'm 6-3, in 2nd place and have scored the most points in my league.  I've got Marshall, Fitzy and Megatron as my top 3 and will have the luxury of sitting on Braylon if need be.  Think those variables are conducive enough to taking the gamble on him?
