The Cleveland Browns and Derek Anderson made quite a statement with their win over Baltimore. The Cleveland passing game in now fantasy relevant.
Nor so much for Brian Griese who is one bad outing away from watching Kyle Orton give it a try.
Joey Harrington has carried the Hawks on his back for two weeks. I’m not recommending him but injuries mounting, his next outings against Ten, NYG and N.O. bear watching.
It was interesting to see Leinart back in the game late yesterday, the coach bolstered the quarterback’s confidence and staved off a quarterback controversy, though Warner continues to operate no huddle.
It’s worth noting that Edgerrin James did the best of any RB against the Steelers this season, 21/77/1TD. That boes well for the next few games against the Rams and Panthers.
With Lamont Jordan hurting his back, Justin Fargas is a big pickup this week. with Rhodes coming back in week 6 looks like they’ll be sharing carries until Jordan gets back.
Travis Henry sprained an ankle, severity unknown…Selvin Young should be a hot commodity, as this is the second time Henry has been dinged.
Bad news for Cadillac Williams, here’s hoping he can resume his career. Looks like Earnest Graham, and Michael Pittman will continue in a RBBC situation.
RB Ronnie Brown was great again, rushing 15 times for 134 yards and a TD. He also posted 6 catches for 73 yards. Congrats to those who grabbed him while the price was right.
For all the confusion around Derek Ward yesterday, he was the one to go and Droughns was basically forgotten.
WRs Bobby Wade and Sidney Rice were solid for Min., posting 5 catches for 83 yards and 6 catches for 75 yards for a TD respectively…not sure it qualifes them for every week status but Rice looked real good.
With Andre Davis continuing to produce in Houston, it may be time to review who the #2 WR is going forward, especially once A.Johnson comes back.
Keep an eye on Todd Heap in Bal. A concussion two weeks ago and now a hamstring.
Good luck this week, hope you were able to avoid Culpepper and Crayton this week.
