looks like SF is going to go strictly to a 3-4 and use a lot less hybrid looks. As such, Smith probably should get a downgrade as he won't be spending much time in a 4-3 DE capacity and won't be lining up as a LB at all, from what I've read

I know I'm an idiot, but where exactly are these rankings? I would love to view this.

Tav, Bernard Pollard (KC DB) ranked at #13 and Bernie Pollard (KC DB) ranked at #41! Which is it?

Nice catch Packers! Appreciate the extra set of eyes. Just glad I kept my notes. ;)
Made the adjustment in redraft. :)

Ndukwe is rated too high. Right now the Bengals are listing Roy Williams as the starter at SS and Ndukwe as a backup. Even if that reverses they will be splitting time too much for either one to stand out.

The reason he isn't ranked in the top 15 now is due to the current situation.
Apparently Mike Zimmer, a former DC in Dallas whom Williams played for; who is now the DC Cinci; has a severe case of amnesia. If Williams starts in week 1 teams will torment/torch (you choose) him just like they did in Dallas.
While I can't say how the season will begin, I will say Ndukwe will be a top 15DB very, very soon.

In looking at the rankings, I don't see a few of my rostered players listed and would like your take on where they fit in.
They are:
- Matt Roth
- Adalius Thoms
- Ike Taylor
Thanks!

Matt Roth – see Jason Taylor. As an OLB 50+ total tackles doesn't get it done. he'll have 1/3 less with the signing of Taylor.
Adalius Thomas – Another OBL. He's not used as he was in Balt. He was an LB2 in '07 but he'd have been short of that with a full year last year. He's a depth LB, a bit inconsistent, and unless he adds sacks, not an LB3. Other LB's will see the field more.
Ike Taylor – He produces every other year, if the pattern of the last four years hold true, he could be a DB1. I'm skeptical.
These are m/o…trust your gut. ;)

If you are in a deep dynasty league add the name of Gary Guyton to your list. He'll take over next to Mayo with the retirement of Bruschi and I expect him to be on the field in a 3-4 or 4-3 alignment.

Supposedly, New England will be playing more 4-3 than 3-4 this season.
Should the 23 year-old middle linebacker who was defensive ROY last season and was recently voted defensive captain of the team be moved up your rankings a little?

Welcome to the forums spider!
A fair question but he's top ten already, LB1. I'm not sure, but we probably rank Mayo higher than most sites.
In NE the DL has been strong vs the run in pre-season and they have the depth to rotate 6 guys. At this point, including the addition of Guyton, the solos of last year could turn into assists this year. Until the quarter mark of the season any move in the rankings would be a lateral one, imo.
