Well, with V Jax and Parker as 1 and 2 respectfully who have not shown HUGE value so far with Floyd and Osgood in their shadows, Davis (if he shows good camps) I think could push for a spot.

Well, SD just covered their S position with a trade up. Turner to TEN idea takes a hit.

Not exactly, as a 2008 first rounder from an unknown team was the most reliable rumor. TEN or GB could still give that up, or you may see a few 2nd rounders head SD's direction for Turner.
Stay tuned!

The S.D. GM may be overplaying his hand if he wants to get any value for him other than insurance for this year…
which is a significant consideration. Turner's insurance for LT can't be overlooked if you consider that S.D.'s goal is the S.B.
If any of the teams looking at Turner are willing to trade a #1, they can do it any time up to training camp. It's a stare down right now, who blinks first?

Alittle busy on the homepage. The trade calculator is a bit much. A link to it is good enough as if that is what someone is looking for they will find it in Tools. I love the top half though. Yes, I am glad I went looking for a new site to look into this year for news, tools, and similar people to shoot ideas with. And thanks for the welcome Smitty.
No prob!

You mean RIVERS. Brees is in NO. Hee hee hee….
Typo lol. It is so easy to say Brees when you think SD. But yes, I think Davis will help the entire offense. Most rook WRs do not make a huge fantasy impact in their first year, but he should get on track toward the end of the season. Jackson is really turning into a good WR, this well help Davis as he won't be forced to be the #1. I think the SD offense is gonna go nuts in '07!

I think you are right, Chargers GM AJ Smith is playing hardball, which could end up being a bad thing if teams get too far into the draft, but we don't know what has already been agreed upon.
The good thing is Norv Turner is so good, and so confident in his own system, he would feel ok about drafting a RB late to replace Turner. The thing is, in a Norv Turner offense, any RB can do well, so they really can afford to trade RB Turner given LT is just fine health-wise.
Gonna have to run for a bit, but keep on posting, fellas. Glad to have you all so active in what is our longest FFXtreme thread so far :)

11 trades so far? For starting so slow, they've certainly made up for it.

Hey fellas, finally back. Had to step out for…well, most of the day. Just catching up now. Michael Bush is still on the board? Wow. What's with Detroit giving away Mike Williams for free?

Starting to lose coverage as we are over the time slotted for the 1st day. I still never heard a thing about the RB GB took late in the 2nd. Brandon Jackson, I was hoping to catch a quick rundown on him and they completely skipped anything on him. I thought the way people were talking about MBush that he was the next best player to grab, yet he is still dropping (or did I miss him).

Nice to have you back Hambone, everyone has been in and out today.
Brandon Jackson
SELECTED BY: Green Bay Packers Round 2(31)
Ht., Wt.:
5-10, 210
40 Time:
4.53
BIOGRAPHY: All-Conference selection last season after starting nine games and totaling 188/989/8 rushing with 33/313/2 receiving.
POSITIVES: Talented ball-handler who produces in a variety of ways. Displays solid running vision, follows blocks and finds the cutback lanes. Displays a burst of speed, possesses the ability to make defenders miss and runs with an aggressive style.
NEGATIVES: Must improve his ball security. Not a big back who picks up yardage after initial contact.
ANALYSIS: Jackson moves on to the next level after just a single productive season. He does not possess the size to be a feature runner, but his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield as well as his running style makes him well-suited to be a third-down back.
PROJECTION: Late Third Round

Bush is still available. Guess the leg scares a lot of people. It's cost him millions.

Bush = ATL's new RB?
We shall see.
What a crazy draft. Brandon Jackson is a Frank Gore style of runner, he is actually pretty good. I'd rank Lynch ahead of him at this point, but wouldn't count him out of the top 2 just yet. Bush in ATL would really be interesting for fantasy rookie rankings and drafts.

The draft has been, errr, entertaining…what is the view of everyone about the 2007 and 2008 draft?
Weaker/stronger; stronger/weaker?
What do you think?

Smitty, I like J Norwood in Atl, if Bush does go there it seems a thunder (B)and lightning (N) situation. Not to mention W.Dunn does not seem likely to go quietly. This is another rb situation I'll try to avoid altogether.
Thoughts?

Agreed…but with the Oak. hc putting his mark on the team, I'm wondering if we won't see Lamont Jordan traded?

if so, 2 of the most disappointing players in fantasy football last year (Moss and Jordan) would be with different teams. Moss' value should take a huge boost going to NE, and getting traded could do nothing but help Jordan, especially with Rhodes and Bush now on the team.
