I think it was assumed Carolina and Dallas would take a RB, Pittsburgh was the shocker. Willie's value took a huge hit today.

Yep, Pitt was a big surprise. But they couldn't pass on Mendy falling to them could they?

Agree. Just didn't see Carolina taking a back in the top of the 1st round. I had that horrible feeling Pittsburgh was going to take Mendy though for a long time. If you look at the live draft thread I was freaking out about it 2-3 pages before they picked him…it was like one of those train wrecks you see happening in slow motion and just can't look away from.

Nope. Bad luck for Willie.

I thought he was top 10 material last season and disappointed me. There are still some backs to be had on the board, so he's not out of the woods yet. He'll likely be the starter regardless, but I would probably be happy with him as a low end #2 back.

I can almost see him as a very low end #1 after all the teams improvements. But that could be a little optimistic….lol.

Jets just couldn't get into that #3 spot….they wanted McFadden & McFadden wanted them

the Jets have the 3rd pick in round 4. will either RB Charles (TX) or Kevin Smith be available then?

what about Leon Washington he's a great KR and probably deserves more carries

Jets: There are still backs left for the Jets to snag one

PIT RBs: FWP was already dropping down to third-round type value, Mendy will be a fine fit.

CAR: I like Stewart a lot as well, I think all three (even Forte) could really do well in this league and for fantasy owners.

The two RB's who fared the best IMO were already on NFL rosters. Turner and LJ have climmbed on my rankings after day one. Maybe even higher after today…we'll see. DeAngelo and FWP had to be the hardest "Hit". Honorable mention "Hit" goes to Lendale White.

They must still think Jones is solid enough to pass up on a RB so far. Anyone they draft now won't have value for a few years.

What about now on LJ do you think Charles will steal any carries. I do.
