Just read a report that supposedly Denver offered 2 first rounders, 1 second, 2 third rounders, and Al Wilson for the #2 overall pick.

Considering all of Detroit’s needs, I’m suprised they didn’t take this offer.

Passing on a player of Johnson’s talent is tough but how could you turn that down? Al Wilson wasn’t adding much but they could have addressed their o-line, any part of their defense and still gotten a good WR later if they wanted.

Would you have taken the deal or turned it down?

I’d have turned it down.

First of all, he remembered Reggie Bush.

Millen is drafting for his future now. He makes the trade and he is fired before those selections are made.

For the 1.02, a highly gifted WR, Detroit would have gotten:

Wilson is an injured LB whose previous trade was voided due to injury concerns? Wasn’t wilson released before the draft?

Even if Millen lasted to make the picks the depth, he paid such a high price for, is a luxury he would not have been around to enjoy.
