There are a lot of openings in the NFL for RBs all of the sudden. It didn’t look that way in early 2007, but it sure is turning out that way now.

There are also not a whole lot of top dog free agents aside from Barber, Turner and Jamal. Barber and Jamal will, IMO, stay with their current teams, so Turner is the only RB that I think will find a new home.

Teams that need backs: CHI, HOU, DET, ATL, SEA, CIN, DEN

and CLE, DAL I’m assuming will likely belong to Barber, Jamal

…. that means a lot of these rookies could end up starting in 2008, unlike last year’s rookie class. Should be a great rookie class and make for great rookie fantasy drafts.

Oh Yeah, I like watching the youtube highlights. It is one thing to say who you think is ranked where and why, but to show the highlights and let people get a feeling for player is very helpful. I use youtube a lot to help me rank my players. Just helps me break some close players by their highlights.

Slaton to stay in school?

yeah I read that one earlier Tav. I think a good decision on his part just because he didn’t do as much this year and his stock has fallen. But as someone pointed out, the backfield at WVU is loaded now with Devine, he could have a tough time proving himself further when Devine will get more carries

In the end, I don’t think it will change Slaton’s draft position much. The more I see of him, the less I like him as ever being a full time RB in the NFL. I think he could be a superb 3rd/chane-of-pace back. Perhaps in the mould of Eric Metcalf.

I agree with that. I’m not sure he has the body type to be an every down back

Yea, unless you have a bowling ball type bone structure like Jones Drew, it’s tough to make it in the NFL at Slaton’s size.

Agreed…at 195 Slaton would have been one of the smaller backs entering this year’s draft, had he elected to. To top it off, his numbers in the second half of the season are rather unimpressive. If he had entered this draft, he would have been lost, probably lasting into the latter part of the second day.

Oklahoma WR Malcom Kelly has declared. Check him out. These are a year old but at 6.4″ around 217…he may be near or at the top for WR’s this year.
