If I were a Bengals fan, I would be seriously honked off right now. If this news that Henry is about to be re-signed is true, I would feel betrayed and lied too which is what Bengals fans have put up with for the past 15 + years.
I'm officailly going on record to say that this team is heading for a major meltdown this season and they will take everyone involved down with them crushing the hopes of countless fantasy owners. The management and coaching staff have NO idea what they are doing, and they are wasting some serious talent and careers of special players.
I think Carson Palmer should stage a Chad Johsnon and demand his one-way ticket out of Cincinnati to try to salvage his career. Palmer and co. will never be a consistent winner with the current ownership and coaching staff in place.
Someone tell me why this team cannot stay away from the criminals?!?!?!? Why do they continue to publicly cut ties with knuckleheads and degenerates yet they can't seem to avoid them in the draft AND re-sign the worst kind of people? A lot of teams draft troubled players but the Bengals seem to go out of their way to get them. Many, many teams have shown that you can win with 'good' guys.
IF I were a Bengals fan…

Good think all we need is Palmer to keep slinging it to Chad and Housh… losing often equals more fourth-quarter passing. It isn't that I don't feel your pain from a fan standpoint, but from a fantasy standpoint, the Bengals will throw … and that is good for Palmer, Chad and Housh. If they win along the way, things will still be good, but I see the stats still rolling in. Will they win a championship? Well, I won't say that they won't, I like the talent they have on that roster, but they do have a long way to go, I agree with you there..

Bingo… I've been saying this for the entire offseason. Lewis already lost this team and this makes that situtation worse - get ready for a major implosion in Cincy.

Rams vs Bengals who can implode first? I'm going with the Rams only cause Steven Jackson situation.
I don't understand the flip flop the Bengals have had for Henry since day 1, makes no sense.

what about this tidbit:
Bengals.com says that the severity of Chad Johnson's shoulder injury was a primary reason for re-signing Chris Henry.
Considering Henry isn't eligible to play until Week 5, Johnson's shoulder injury could be a lot worse than reported. ESPN's Bob Holzman reported the Bengals don't know yet how long Johnson will be out. But they are clearly concerned it could be a long-term injury or one that could re-cur during the year. It's time to downgrade Johnson on your cheats to a WR2 until we know more. Aug. 19 - 8:50 am et
