Does this make DeAngelo a viable RB 2?
I know some people will think so, but I still think he is just a #3.
They will prob draft someone to split anyways

As long as they don’t sign Turner then this bumps up DeAngelo value a lot in my mind. I think he is an easy #2 back. They will probably get a goal line back though. Should be interesting.

Haimez has it right…they’ll draft someone who slides and DeAngelo is a legit #2.

The problem with this rookie class is that every team could land a top dog RB in the late rounds, which will be totally worth the risk for any team. That means coaches like Shanahan, or team’s like Carolina, could make a mess out of a situation. CAR could be one of those situations. Why not land a Ray Rice late in a draft if you’re a coach? This class will kill at least one RB like DeAngelo this year. I’m not saying it is for sure to happen to DeAngelo, just saying I could see it happening.

I would be extremely surprised if Carolina signed Turner.

The Buccaneers are reportedly targeting free agent DeShaun Foster.
“We’ve had talks with his representative, yes,” GM Bruce Allen confirmed Saturday. The Bucs are trying to make a big splash in free agency, but would likely be better off with Earnest Graham, Michael Bennett, and Ken Darby at running back. The club is still expected to meet with Foster early next week.
