Would the cowboys have room for him under their salary cap?  (drooling!)

OMG that would be awsome. too bad I just traded Holt & Matt Jones away for Santana Moss.

I know it sounds crazy but really it isnt. Its a contract dynasty league. Holts contract was rediculous. The league Minimum contract is $40. A couple years ago I needed a stud WR to fill out my team, so I went for Holt when his last contract expired. Since the owner at that time always gets rights to match the highest offer, I had to make it insane. I had lots of cap space at the time so I put in a bid for something like 200 at a contract length of 4 years. Each year there is an automatic 15% increase in salary over the 4 years. (total max contract space was 1600 at the time). Anyway, This is going into the 2nd year of his contract and hes costing 230, 266 next year and 304 after that. Hes the highest contract in the league, or maybe 2nd…but by far. It worked, he got me to the big dance at the end of the season, but now my cap space is getting thinner. If I cut him, I get whacked with a cap penalty for each year of his contract. So, I found a guy with more cap space, and he was looking to get Matt Jones off me. So I offered the Holt/Jones for Santana Moss trade, and got it done.

ok, sorry to tire everyone with that confusing mess…lol

Point was simply, Holt going to Dallas would be awsome and I’d wish I could have that trade back a little bit. but I guess with S-Jax contract coming up next year, I need the space to be able to lock him back in. Might be a good chance to not have to Franchise tag him and sign him to a longer contract for less $$ if people are down on him after underperforming this year. If he comes to life TOO much this season I’ll be paying through the nose to keep him Im sure.

Holt to Dallas is a long shot and will probably never happen. I have nothing to base this on except it sounds crazy to think Dallas would trade for another old receiver, Holt is 32. Who knows though, Jerry would probably do anything right now to win it all.

Holt asked for trade before season, and he looks crazy pissed on sidelines. Behind scenes I bet he is asking for one. He prefers Carolina so he can play with his brother.

God I would love to see him in Dallas with Romo.

I still think if something doesn’t happen we see the other side of Holt nobody has scene yet. The ugly side.

Could be some good landing spots for Holt…Philly would be one…although they seem to be doing well with the crew they have.

Sheppard isn’t all that happy and I’m sure Philly could move him for Holt.

If I had to compare this drama to the workplace, I would say Linehan got fired for trying to solve issues he had no control over.  This team has no leadership and that is their biggest downfall.  Holt(32) has a few Galloway years left in him, but his knees arent going to hold up as good.  Galloway is old and still has remarkable speed.  The Cowboys should have kept that guy.

Rams:” A disjointed mess where no one trusts anyone”.

When you have a mess like this, you don't have a team.  Someone needs to be a leader, and I don't think it's Bulger either.  They need a coach that knows how to penalize players correctly, and a coach that offers rewards (in practice if necessary) for team leadership.  Holt going to Dallas?  I think Dallas would do better to grab another R.Williams(DET).

I completly agree, younger and come at lesser price tag. Roy Williams to Dallas before deadline would not surprise me(don’t think it happens, but wouldn’t be surprised). He has all but guarenteed he will sign with a Texas team as free agent. Lions need picks, and the WR depth in this draft is huge.
