Not official or confirmed, but rumors are that Cam Cameron has been added to the Ravens coaching staff.

This would make Willis McGahee a lot more valuable, as Cameron produces insane fantasy rushers (Tomlinson, Ronnie)… thoughts?

RB Willis McGahee: Cam Cameron officially named Ravens new OC

FFX: According to BaltimoreSun.com, the Ravens have officially made for Dolphins coach Cam Cameron the team’s new offensive coordinator. FANTASY: This is outstanding news for Willis McGahee heading into 2008, as Cameron is famous for producing insanely productive rushing attacks. He had a lot to do with the emergence of LaDainian Tomlinson in San Diego and had almost everything to do with Ronnie Brown’s breakout season last year in Miami. McGahee instantly moves up a few spots in our 2008 Fantasy Football Redraft Rankings.

That’s big news. To me, that now makes him a 1st round RB that I could be confident in picking as my work horse. Until hearing this, I really wasn’t to convinced nor would I have been thrilled to pull the trigger on him in the 08′ draft (pick 9-12). There’s a huge differance in Studness (it’s a new word to me also don’t worry) once you fall outta that top tier of RB’s. Before, I woulda probably taken my chances elsewhere but now I’m a heck of a lot more comfortable with him as a 1RB option. I still think he falls behind Gore and maybe some others as well.

With that being said, I just hope that I won’t have to worry about McGahee at all. If I get to pick let’s say…. 1 thru 8 or so, there’s no sweat in deciding to draft him or not because he’d already be gone once it got back to me (which I could regret).

You have to at least consider McGahee a first rounder now, of course. Cam Cameron produces, plain in simple. If you own McGahee in a deep deep league… consider owning Musa Smith and Cory Ross until that back-up spot gets worked out.
