This is the second time I heard about it. Anyone else see this happening. Here is one of the articles I’ve seen the past two days

If so, hands down Roy Williams solidifies a top 10WR in 08.

Interesting.
I like the idea, even though this trade favors the Eagles. Williams is gone anyway after this season so they might as well get something for him and McNabb gets another stud WR.
The Lions get a good, experienced WR in Brown that will let Johnson be the #1 guy. I’d bet that Brown would do very well as a #2.

What do you mean by another????? They haven’t had a stud wr in years. They put a lot of hope in players that just didn’t get the job done!

Nice thread. I haven’t heard anything close to concrete on this matter, but it’s fun to think about. If anything emerges in any of the local papers or becomes concrete at all, you can bet we will post it on our breaking news. Stay tuned.

What I meant was McNabb would get another WR, since TO. Could have phrased it little better.

The Lions are fully denying this rumor. I don’t think it happens. I don’t think they will trade Roy Williams either unless it is obviously a trade in their favor. Tom Kowlowski who is usually right when comes to the Lions is saying it is a rumor, and nobody in the Lions is agreeing this is true.

The only people talking this up are dynasty owners of Roy Williams and Donovan Mcnabb

I think the Eagles will get somebody. My guess would be Javon Walker if he is released. Stallworth had some good chemistry with him also. Should be interesting. I just don’t see the Lions moving Roy this year. They will tag and trade next year I bet if he doesn’t change his tune. I’m hearing he is glad Martz is gone? Conflicting info on him and Martz though that is for sure.

I think Kevin Jones was the one that said he was glad Martz was gone. Roy loved him.
As a Roy owner I am very interested to see what happens with him.

Yeah, KJ had a good reason not to like him.haha Reason they think Roy will enjoy Martz being gone is not as many 3 WR sets so Roy will get more looks, and not as spread out. Here is the direct quote from the Kowlowski article:
“According to the source, the Lions believe the departure of offensive coordinator Mike Martz will make Williams a happier player in 2008 and might be instrumental in getting him to return in 2009. It’s another reason why the Lions won’t deal Williams unless they get an offer they can’t refuse.”

If the Eagles are truly serious about contending in 08′. And they know the Lions are entertaining offers for R.W. Why are the Eagles not offering more to force the Lions into a trade they can’t resist. It sounds like another Philly rumor that won’t happen. And another bad year for Donovan.
