How the mighty have fallen.

Profootballtalk.com is reporting that Alexander will be cut, possibly within the next few days.

I’m part of the crowd that thinks he still still has some game left in him. I think he might qualify for a buy low candidate.

Anyone in the XTDKFFL who feels the same can give me a shout and we’ll talk!

It’ll be interesting to see where he lands…someone will give him another shot.

If true, SEA now becomes my favorite (unless Cincy cuts Rudi) for the Michael Turner contest.

I can see Seattle cutting Alexander, Cincy cutting Rudi, and Chicago (with cap space) deciding Benson does better in a RBBC.

Turner was born in North Chicago and played college ball @ Northern Illinois.

Houston’s signing of Green last year may have taken them out of the Turner sweepstakes but they are still almost 20 mil under the cap.

I’d guess that SEA, CHI and Cincy are the three leading candidates. Some say ATL, but we shall see. Anywhere he gets 20 carries a game is fine with me, but SEA and CIN look pretty good to me.

As a Turner owner, and one who bought him VERY cheap (Caddy), I’m very much hoping SEA becomes a reality. Considering Hasselbeck being there for a few more years and the weak NFC West, it just seems ripe.

It’s very possible, prob one of the leading teams to go after him I’d imagine.

I do have one more thing to say on Turner (yes, I know this isn’t exactly the Turner thread, but I’m ok with that).

As a Texans fan, I would LOVE to see him in there with Schaub and Andre for a few years. I think his value would be amazing in HOU, especially considering Kubiak’s sucess with RBs and the zone blocking scheme they use. It doesn’t get mentioned much, but I really do have HOU as a top 3 location for him to land, along with CIN and SEA.

He’d be fantastic in HOU as well. Make sure you listed to our new podcast, I touch on this (or Yell about this, according to Ballgame).

Yea, well, we shall see what happens. They still will likely grab a rookie in this April’s draft at the very least.
