According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune - Saints TE Jeremy Shockey will undergo sports hernia surgery this week… has any one else heard anything on this???

Yep, just read it on profootballtalk.com. Out 3-6 weeks. Wow, that offense is really taking a hit. They still lit it up yesterday though.

This is getting absurd with the injuries. Can't catch a break. Something must be in the water.
Colston, Shockey, Brown, Deuce, Stecker, Patten, McKenzie, Gay, Young, Glenn, Harper, Fujita, Simoneau, and Thomas.
Off the top of my head, that's injuries to 14 people who get regular playing time. This is depressing.

Very much so, too bad they couldn’t pull it out yesterday, would have been huge. If they can get another win or two and hang tough until they heal up, they’ll be alright. Tough tough division though with Carolina coming back to life…and I don’t see ATL being down for long, looking very good in the early rebuilding stages.

Wed, Oct 8 Larry Holder, of the Biloxi Sun-Herald, reports New Orleans Saints TE Jeremy Shockey (hernia) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 8. Head coach Sean Payton said it is possible Shockey can play in the team's Week 6 game.
