With the latest news of 3 dozen dogs being found on his property, even though some reports conflict with that one, what are his odds of playing at all in 2007?

I've gone on the record elsewhere in these forums in saying Vick will be suspended for the entire season. I think Vick has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Considering the Commissioner has already handed out some hefty suspensions, he can't afford to go soft on Vick just because he is one of the biggest stars in the game. Just the opposite, he'll have to make it seem like he's not and maybe that means he goes over and above just a little bit to make his point.
They are finding new stuff every day, so it's just a matter of time before Vick finds himself in big trouble – they are simply waiting until they can gather all the evidence they need before charging him. The fact that Vick initially denied ever being there and his steadfast silence on the news reports speaks volumes to me.
And the whole dog fighting culture sickens me. I heard someone defend it on TV saying it is no different than the UFC fighters getting in the ring and bloodying each other up. That's a load. First of all, the dogs are bred specifically for this life and don't have a say in the matter. Secondly, what does the dog get out of it, except to be eventually killed? Please. It's a disgusting sport and if Vick is found to have been involved, they should throw the book at him. There is nothing worse to me than preying on those (people or animals) who are weaker than you and have no real ability to fight back.
Sorry for the rant :)

I think Vick got himself into something big this time…..And knowing Goodell's new disiplinary plan. I find it really hard that Vick doesn't get suspended at least half a season. I also could see this not going down until all the facts are in. Even if he is not charged, I think Goodell takes action and suspends him for a year the night before kick-off 07'.

It depends what Vick does. If he cops a plea for a reduced sentence he may miss the entire season. But I can't see the Comish suspending him for any games before he is even charged. Something about being innocent before being judged guilty in our country. But I agree with the above, dog fighting is sickening.

For the league, Falcons and Vick I hope he is innocent! To answer your question Vick will play in 2007. With the investigation, hearings and trial it could be a year before he is convicted. I personally beleive he will be. Vick is still to me, one of the best athletes in the NFL. If charged I hope Goodell hits him hard. I say a year OR MORE!

Many inside sources believe it would move a lot faster than that, that he would see charges soon, if they keep gathering more evidence, and it could move rather quickly.
Tough to say, there are so many reports flying around out there.
