According to Philadelphia.com, Eagles WR Kevin Curtis has been diagnosed with a sports hernia and is set to undergo surgery on Thursday. Eagles coach Andy Reid said that his receiver will be out “for a while” but should return this season at some point. “They’ve got to go in and see – I’d like to tell you a time on it, but I can’t,” Reid said. When asked whether or not he has called Arizona about disgruntled WR Anquan Boldin, Reid said: “I’m not going to get into all that.”

FFX: Not good news for the Eagles or Donovan McNabb. This is definitely going to trigger some rumors about Anquan Boldin and maybe even Roy Williams. We wouldn't be surprised if Drew Rosenhaus, Boldin's agent, releases a new Youtube clip here shortly on this matter. Stay tuned, but expect Curtis to miss at least 4-6 weeks… maybe longer. Jason Avant? Sleeper alert? He is a third-year receiver in 2008.
