What was with Garnett at the end? Did anyone else see him freak out? That was the strangest thing I've seen in quite some time. When that is on youtube, someone please post the link in this thread. I think he was screaming "mama" and dropping F bombs and saying all kinds of things no one could understand. Crazy interview.

Emotions…guy took a lot of heat for not winning one sooner “he’ll get you to the playoffs but not through them” is one quote that comes to mind. Bought into the Celtic tradition, became friends with Russell (greatest player, imo in NBA history) and wanted to win to quiet the doubters. Nothing less than a championship would have sufficed. Over a decade of doubts and questions were lifted off the guy's back. Strange, absolutely. Coherent, not a chance. Understandable, completely.
A defining moment for three players, Garnett, Allen, and Pierce. They all handled it differently. They all substituted winning for individual goals…and they did not get a free ride from Boston media…everything was measured against 16 previous champions.
Catharsis at its best. ![]()

Pierce is the man.
Yes he is. He completely dominated Bryant in the finals – on both ends of the floor.

Rondo looked pretty damned good last night too.. swear he could steal the ball from the Lakers anytime he wanted. Dropped 21pts on them too…not bad for a "weak link"

Yep. He looked good.
What a turn around. Phoenix needs to go get "Agent Zero" now so they can win a championship! ;)

I've been a long-time KG fan and while I would have rather seen him win one in 'Sota, watching him last night was well worth it…
If any of you are interested, Scoop Jackson wrote a great article about him on ESPN. A definite must-read for any Garnett fan.
