Now, I just got a CostCo. Gas Card pop-up…WTF. I understand that this may be necessary to support the site and stuff, but it rather annoying…

I get nothing. We've had reports of these before, but I have yet to see any pop-ups.
EDIT: Just got one, but not a true pop-up. There are some ads at the bottom of these pages that expand open when you hover over them. For instance, I just had a Circuit City ad do that for me. As prodigy noticed, it happens right after a post because the system moves the page to the bottom after posting to show you what has just been written. If your mouse is placed in the right (or wrong) spot, the Ad will expand automatically until you move the mouse away from the ad. Not all ads do this mind you, but some do and I think that is what is happening. As I've said, I've never seen a true pop-up ad on this site (thankfully).

Im getting pop-ups almost every time I go to a new post or screen of any kind. Circuit City a huge % of the time but there have been others too. Been going on most of the week but seems to have gotten even more intrusive.

The hover ones, not a pop up. I get Circuit City all the time. Was getting Circuit City here and there, and now getting them all the time. I cleared all my interenet files thinking it was cookie or something, but still got it. I think it all depends on where you leave your mouse when typing.

Not a techie but is the browser being used up to date? I’m using firefox 3.0.1 and even leaving my mouse over an add isn’t giving me anything.

I just went to the main website for FFX. Then as I was briefly reading the breaking news the webpage changed to a totally different website. This wasn't just a pop-up as I have a pop-up blocker. This changed the actual website in my address bar. I've been an FFX fan and forum user for some time now. However, if this continues I will stop coming to this website. Basically this is hijacking if you guys can't explain it.

Working on eliminating this ad avenue. Hang with us, it will get worked out.

Yea, the prob should be resolved within a day. We should have no more pop ups or redirects!
