Using NFL defensive rankings against the run, we generated and updated Strength Of Schedule for Running Backs for just Weeks 14-16. For example, Joseph Addai faces the Bengals, Lions and Jaguars in Weeks 14-16 — And the average rank of those three defensive units (out of 32 teams) against the run, through Week 13, equals 25.3. This means that Addai’s average opponent in Weeks 14, 15 and 16 averages 25.3 against the run. That’s a phenomenal rushing schedule for the fantasy playoffs! Addai is gold!

On the other end of the table, Marion Barber faces the Steelers, Giants and Ravens in Weeks 14-16. All three defenses are inside the league’s top 5 against the run, and the average of the three is 3.0. So over the next three weeks, Addai goes up against three defenses that average 25.3 against the run and Barber goes up against three defenses that average 3.0 against the run. That’s a tough schedule and this is not good news for Barber owners.
